JEB BROUGH

DIRECTOR

Before joining MATSYS, Mr. Brough spent much of his 20+ year career as a civilian employee of the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), where he was a researcher and project manager in energetic materials development, applications, and process scale-up. Mr. Brough also spent a large part of his career in the advanced weaponry technology development field, with a focus on designing and integrating new and emerging technologies to improve weapon performance in addition to technology transition.

His expertise ranged from developing new materials for projectiles and advanced warheads to designing and fielding an improved flash-bang grenade for the joint services. He worked extensively on the development and advancement of reactive material technologies and applications and has significant experience in designing, testing and evaluating both conventional and reactive material weapon performance. While with the NSWC organization, he concurrently served as the technology manager for the Navy’s Insensitive Munitions Advanced Development (IMAD) Ordnance portfolio and was a member of the Navy’s Munition Reaction Evaluation Board (MREB). Mr. Brough holds several patents in demilitarization technology, weapon safety and advanced weaponry.
