The Hydrogen Reduction sensor system has been used to monitor a fluidized degassing system for high-strength, nano-structured, lightweight composite powders inside of a custom low-cost rocking furnace. Gas is sampled from the furnace environment over a thin-film hydrogen sensor interface with computer through an analog-to-digital converter for data-logging of Hydrogen output levels during the heat-treatment process. This allows for an optimized material processing schedule to be developed quickly.
