• FLUIDIZED POWDER VALVES

This patented powder flow control valve was originally designed for dispensing poorly-flowing, high-density powder for our in-house manufacturing processes.  It has been optimized for use with a broad range of particulate materials.

• NO MOVING PARTS

This unique design uses no moving parts. Dry compressed air is used to fluidize the particulate material and control the amount of powder dispensed in each charge. To accomplish these objectives, the Fluidized Powder Valve has two sub-micron porous stainless steel fluidizers:

  1. One funnel-shaped fluidizer to minimize inter-particle friction; and
  2. One flat-shaped fluidizer to control the discharge of particulate material.
• ADJUSTABLE & CONTROLLABLE FLOW

The gap between the two fluidizers is set to create a powder lock when the gas is off.  The amount of material dispensed during each charge is controlled by the time the gas is on.

• VARIETY OF SIZES
MATSYS can supply these valves in different sizes ranging from a small, hand-held filler (cubic centimeters per second) to a large, production scale dispenser (liters per second).
Capable of replacing many existing powder delivery systems for bulk material handling. Use as a standalone unit, or to control recharge of one of our Fluidized Fill Shoes from a bulk supply powder hopper.
An available pulsed dosing option as well as a load-cell feedback option are both available for accurate flow rate and measured weight output dispensing.
